This years project is
JOYCE FREDA-medium incurve.
3 friends have asked me for cuttings of Joyce Freda so i will be posting photos and info on their progress weekly/fort-nightly right up to the show bench(with a bit of luck)
i started on the 14th of december by putting the gas heater on,but due to little movement i placed the stools on top of the propagator on the 28th dec,the temperature varied between minus 1 and 6 degrees centigrade.
Due to the poor light levels introduced a 2ft flourescent tube and the gas bottle ran out after 3 weeks (would normally last 7)
First cutting on the 12th jan.The rooting material is 3 parts multi - purpose compost,1part grit and 1 part pearlite.
All cuttings are dipped in the rooting compound,20 to a half tray then placed in the propagator with the top set at a given temperature of 15 degrees C.

THIS WEEKS PHOTOS 26th January.
Shows a tray of Joyce Freda, lost six cutting through damping off. Propagator lid now removed
,Plants sprayed twice per day with fresh clean water. Temperature in greenhouse varies from 20c max-10c min,
18c in propagator . SEE MORE HERE
