1. ENTRIES
Prior notification of entry is not required.ENTRY TO ALL CLASSES IS FREE.
2. The show will be governed by the regulations of THE NATIONAL DAHLIA SOCIETY and THE NATIONAL CHRYSANTHEMUM SOCIETY.
3. Each must have been the bone-fida property of the exhibitor for at least 4 months before the date of the show.
There are no restrictions on number of entries in any class
4. It is a condition that all blooms be left for sale in aid of the society funds.
5. All exhibits can be staged between 5.30 pm-10.00pm on friday 18th sept and 6.00am-9.00am on sat 19th sept.
Vases will be provided.
PLEASE NOTE staging times will be strictly adhered to.
6. Judges will be empowered to withhold prizes and additional awards where exhibits are deemed unworthy and award additional prizes equivalent to the value of the 3rd prize and 4th prize (whichever applies) where the standard of the exhibit is considered sufficiently high.
7. Any protest(s) should be handed to the show secretary by 3.30pm on the first day of the show accompanied by a deposit of £1.00 returnable only if the protest is upheld.
8. All exhibits,personal property,etc will be at the risk of the exhibitor and the society will not be liable for loss
or damage due to any cause whatsoever.
9. Where it is prooved that an exhibitor has contravened the show rules and used unfair means of obataining or attempting to obtain an award the committee may disqualify the exhibit.
In such cases all prize monies accuring to the exhibitor shall be forfeited.
TROPHIES
Winners must,at the time of receiving them,sign a receipt for the same and an undertaking to return them,cleaned,to the show secretary not later than the 1st august 2009.They may be engraved at the winners own cost.
Exibitors wishing to leave trophies may do so.
11. Judging will commence at 9.00am sat 20th sept.
12. EXIBITORS must apply at the secretary's table before staging for cards that are due to be placed closed in front of exhibits before judging begins.Any exibits without such cards will be considered as not up for competition.
13. All chrysanthemums in classes 12-32 and all dahlias in classes 33-54to be correctly named.
14. Any vegetable not claimed 15 mins after start of sale of flowers will become property of the society.
15. Classes 12-23 chrysanthemums and 33-49 are open to all.Classes 29-32chrysanth and 50-54 are restricted to paid up members of the society who have won less than 3 first prizes for dahlias or chrysanths at shows of this society(membership subscriptions will be accepted at the show).
